The Prime Minister's Overarching Scheme for Holistic Nutrition, known as POSHAN Abhiyaan or National Nutrition Mission, is India's flagship programme to enhance nutritional outcomes for children, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers. The POSHAN (Prime Minister's Overarching Scheme for Holistic Nutrition) Abhiyaan, which was launched by the Prime Minister on the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8, 2018, directs the country's attention on the problem of malnutrition and addresses it in a mission-mode.
